RHS Plants for Pollinators

Pulmonaria 'Trevi Fountain'

This 'Lungwort' is one of the longest flowering blue varieties. Deep, cobalt blue flowers are produced in the early spring time above vibrant, silver spotted foliage. Being early flowering, they provide much needed food for early pollinating insects. A great plant for shady areas of the garden.

Plant Care

Keep well watered until firmly established. Plant into moist but draining, good garden soil. Remove old leaves and divide as desired after flowering.

Height/Width

Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather. Feed in spring with a good, general fertiliser.
