Polemonium yezoense var. hidakanum Bressingham Purple ('Polbress')
Purple 'Jacob's Ladder'. The dark purple foliage becomes greener in summer, before returning to purple in autumn. The highly attractive foliage is the perfect backdrop for the electric lavender-blue flowers rising in clusters on burgundy stems. Removal of spent flowers will encourage more blooms. This plant dies down in winter to regrow in spring.
Plant Care
Keep well watered until firmly established. Plant into any average garden soil, avoiding wet areas. Trim away any old flower stems and foliage in spring.

Height/Width
Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather. Feed in spring with a good, general fertiliser.
